Peer Support, Connection & Prayer Program
Sometimes people do not need another form, another lecture or another person telling them what they did wrong. Sometimes they need somebody who will sit beside them, listen and remind them that they are not alone.
Heaven-Sent's Peer Support Program provides welcoming spaces for Veterans, people experiencing homelessness, caregivers, families and other neighbors who need encouragement, connection, shared experience or simply a safe place to talk.
Choose the room that fits what you are facing. Join a live meeting when one is available, connect with a Heaven-Sent host, or use the rooms and resources below to find your next step.
You Do Not Have to Carry Everything Alone
Peer support is about connection. It is a place where someone can be heard, talk with people who understand difficult circumstances and receive encouragement without being treated like a problem to be fixed.
Someone Will Listen
You can talk about what is happening without having to know exactly which program, service or agency you need.
Peer Connection
Shared experience can help reduce isolation and remind people that others have faced difficult roads too.
Finding the Next Step
When a conversation identifies a practical need, Heaven-Sent can help connect the person with casework or appropriate community resources.
The Teddy Bear & Manatee Promise
At Heaven-Sent, teddy bears and manatees represent something simple: comfort matters.
A frightened child, exhausted caregiver, Veteran, senior or person sleeping without a safe home may not remember every program name or every form they were given.
They may remember that somebody saw them, listened to them and treated them like they mattered.
That is the kind of room we want this to be.
Five Doors. One Mission.
Choose the support room that most closely fits what you are facing. You may move between resources as your needs change.

Sometimes a conversation reveals a need for housing navigation, Veteran services, transportation, food, documents, benefits, employment resources or another practical service.
That is where Heaven-Sent Client Casework can help identify the next step.
Connect With Heaven-SentA Room Built Around Dignity
Respect
Everyone should be treated with dignity regardless of housing status, income, age, disability, Veteran status, family situation or background.
No Judgment
People come here for support, not shame. The goal is to listen, encourage and help people move forward.
One Person at a Time
Hosts help maintain an orderly and respectful conversation so participants have an opportunity to speak and be heard.
Privacy Matters
Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others. Online peer rooms cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality, so avoid sharing information you do not want disclosed.
Participation Is Voluntary
You may listen without telling your whole story. No one should be pressured to disclose personal information simply to participate.
Connection to Other Help
When a need falls outside peer support, hosts may suggest Heaven-Sent casework or an appropriate outside service.
Join the Heaven-Sent Live Peer Room
The live room provides a place for scheduled peer meetings, encouragement, discussion, guest speakers and connection with Heaven-Sent hosts.
Meeting availability depends on scheduling and host availability. Opening the room does not guarantee that a live host is currently present.
Peer Support Is One Door Into a Larger System of Help
Talking matters. Practical help matters too.
🏠 Housing
Housing and homelessness resource navigation when a participant needs more than emotional support.
🇺🇸 Veterans
Connection with Veteran resource navigation and appropriate VA or community resources.
🍽️ Food
Connections to available food and basic-needs resources.
🚐 Transportation
Help identifying transportation options and Heaven-Sent assistance when resources are available.
👵 Seniors & Disabilities
Navigation to appropriate community resources and Heaven-Sent support.
📋 Client Casework
A more structured process for identifying barriers, referrals, documents and practical next steps.
Prayer Is Available. It Is Never a Requirement for Help.
People who want prayer, spiritual encouragement or faith-centered conversation may use the Prayer & Encouragement room.
People who do not want faith-based services are still welcome to seek other Heaven-Sent services. Housing navigation, Veteran assistance, casework, food-resource navigation and other community services are not conditioned on participation in prayer or religious activity.
Peer Support Is Not an Emergency Service
If Someone Is in Immediate Danger
Call 911 for an immediate life-threatening emergency.
For suicide, mental-health or substance-use crisis support in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Veterans and service members may call 988 and press 1 to reach the Veterans Crisis Line, or text 838255.
A Heaven-Sent peer room should never delay someone from contacting qualified emergency or crisis services.
You Do Not Have to Walk In Knowing What to Say
You can start with: "I need somebody to talk to."
Or: "I don't know what kind of help I need."
That is enough to start the conversation.

Peer Support & Community Connection Program
Sometimes people do not need another form, another lecture or another person telling them what they did wrong. Sometimes they need a safe room, somebody who will listen and the chance to talk with people who understand.
Heaven-Sent's Peer Support & Community Connection Program creates welcoming spaces for Veterans, people experiencing housing instability, caregivers, families and other community members who need encouragement, connection, practical information or voluntary spiritual support.
Participants can choose the room that fits their situation, connect with others, join a live online meeting when available and move from peer encouragement to Heaven-Sent casework or appropriate community resources when additional help is needed.
A reminder that behind every program, referral, meeting and case plan is a real human being who deserves dignity, kindness and a safe place to land.
You Do Not Have to Carry Everything Alone
Peer support is built around listening, shared understanding, encouragement and connection. It is not about judging somebody's past. It is about helping a person feel less alone while identifying a reasonable next step.
Someone Will Listen
Sometimes the first thing a person needs is the opportunity to speak without being immediately judged, dismissed or lectured.
Peer Connection
Connecting with people who have faced difficult transitions, homelessness, military service, caregiving responsibilities or other challenges can reduce isolation.
A Path Forward
When a conversation identifies a need for housing, Veteran services, food, transportation, casework or another resource, participants can be directed toward the appropriate next step.
Choose the Room That Fits What You Are Facing
Each Heaven-Sent room has a different focus, but the same basic promise: dignity, respect, listening and connection.

A conversation may uncover housing, food, Veteran, transportation, disability, family, employment or other needs requiring casework and resource navigation.
Heaven-Sent can help identify the next appropriate step and connect the participant with casework or outside providers when appropriate.
How the Peer Support Program Works
Choose Your Room
Select the peer room that most closely matches what you are facing. You do not need to have everything figured out before entering.
Join the Conversation
Join the available meeting, participate in the room or review the support information available on the page.
Talk & Listen
Peer support allows people to share experiences, listen to others, receive encouragement and discover they are not the only person facing a difficult situation.
Identify the Need
Sometimes talking reveals a practical barrier such as housing, transportation, food, benefits, documentation or isolation.
Connect to Resources
When appropriate, participants can be connected with Heaven-Sent casework or referred to qualified community, VA or other service providers.
Keep Moving Forward
The goal is not to solve someone's entire life in one conversation. The goal is to help make the next reasonable step clearer.
Heaven-Sent Live Peer Meeting Room
The online meeting room gives participants another way to connect when an in-person conversation is not practical.

Join RingCentral MeetingWhat Participants Should Expect
Respect
Every participant should be treated with dignity regardless of housing status, age, disability, Veteran status, income or background.
No Judgment
People come to peer support for connection and encouragement, not shame.
Listen to One Another
Participants should have an opportunity to speak and be heard without the room becoming a competition over whose struggle is worse.
Privacy Matters
Personal stories should be handled respectfully. Participants should not record, photograph or publicly share another participant's story without permission.
Faith Is Voluntary
Prayer and pastoral support are available for people who want them. Participation in faith activities is not required to seek other Heaven-Sent services.
Know the Limits of Peer Support
Peer rooms are supportive spaces. They are not substitutes for emergency services, licensed medical treatment, psychotherapy, legal representation or professional crisis intervention.
Teddy Bears, Manatees & a Little Bit of Hope
Heaven-Sent uses teddy bears and manatees as reminders of something easy to forget when service systems become filled with applications, eligibility rules, case numbers and appointments: there is a human being on the other side of the paperwork.
For a frightened child, a displaced family, an exhausted caregiver, a Veteran who feels alone or somebody who has spent too long believing nobody sees them, a small sign of comfort can carry a powerful message:
Somebody saw you.
Somebody listened.
Somebody cares that you are here.
The teddy bear and manatee do not replace housing, food, casework, transportation or professional services. They represent the compassion that should travel alongside those services.
Peer Support Has Important Boundaries
Peer Support Is Not Emergency Care
Heaven-Sent peer rooms are intended for support, encouragement, connection and resource navigation. They are not emergency rooms or crisis-response centers.
Peer Support Is Not Clinical Treatment
Peer hosts do not replace licensed physicians, therapists, behavioral-health clinicians or other qualified professionals. When professional services are needed, appropriate referrals should be used.
Not Sure Which Room You Need?
That is okay. You do not have to understand the whole system before asking for help.
Start with a conversation.
