Mission, Vision & Strategic Plan

Heaven Sent Community

Services and Veterans

Assistance, Inc.

This page explains what we do, why we do it, and how we measure our impact, so supporters and partners can clearly see where Heaven Sent is headed and how to stand with us

Our Mission

Heaven Sent Community Services and Veteran Assistance is dedicated to providing relief, hope, and lifelong empowerment to veterans, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families through holistic services including housing assistance, job training, financial aid, peer‑to‑peer support, pet therapy, and innovative programs like vehicle triage centers. Grounded in Christian principles of dignity, respect, compassion, integrity, and innovation, we walk alongside our brothers and sisters in crisis, reducing veteran homelessness and suicides while restoring purpose, stability, and faith‑filled independence

Our Guiding Vision

Heaven Sent envisions a nation where every veteran, senior, and person with disabilities enjoys safe housing, meaningful work, and a supportive community that prevents hardship and fosters resilience

Our Core Values

Our core values describe how we live out our mission every day.

Dignity and Respect

We honor the inherent worth of every veteran, senior, person with disabilities, and family member, treating them with the compassion and God’s love they deserve in times of need.

Compassionate Service

We provide holistic relief through housing, job training, financial aid, peer‑to‑peer support, and pet therapy, walking alongside individuals on their lifelong journey to independence.

Faith and Hope

We ground all actions in Christian principles, restoring hope, preventing veteran suicides, and fostering spiritual growth to build resilient communities.

Integrity and Accountability

We uphold transparency, ethical practices, and confidentiality in all operations, ensuring that resources entrusted to the organization serve the mission without retaliation or waste.

Innovation and Empowerment

We pursue creative solutions like vehicle triage centers and veteran service centers to reduce homelessness, promote self‑sufficiency, and empower lives through education and wellness.

Who We Serve

Heaven Sent Community Services and Veterans Assistance focuses on those who are too often told, “There are no funds available”:

  • Veterans and their families facing homelessness, crisis, or financial hardship
  • Seniors struggling to meet basic needs as the cost of living rises
  • Individuals with disabilities who need advocacy, support, and practical help
  • Families impacted by disasters who need both immediate relief and long‑term support

This focus makes it easy for visitors to quickly see whether your services are for them, which is a best practice for nonprofit sites

How We Serve

Our programs combine immediate relief with long‑term empowerment:

  • Housing assistance and support services
  • Job training, workforce readiness, and vocational support
  • Emergency financial aid where funding allows
  • Peer‑to‑peer support and mentoring, led by veterans and trained volunteers
  • Pet therapy and emotional support initiatives
  • Vehicle triage centers and mobile units supporting disaster response and daily needs
  • Faith‑based encouragement, prayer, and spiritual care for those who request it

Measuring Our Success

We hold ourselves accountable through clear, trackable goals so donors and partners can see the impact of their support.

Success for Heaven Sent Veterans Outreach will be measured by:

  • Establishing a veteran’s crisis line
  • Achieving greater than 80% of employees who have completed crisis‑training classes
  • Maintaining a program graduation rate of over 80% for veterans who enroll in our programs
  • Having over 40% of the homeless veterans we assist enroll in Heaven Sent programs
  • Reducing the number of homeless veterans, measured by how many return to true homeless status after completing Heaven Sent programs
  • Ensuring more than 80% of veterans who graduate continue to use the lessons learned, confirmed through follow‑up at 1, 5, and 10 years after program completion

Future Plans and Growth

Our strategic vision includes expanding both geographically and programmatically over the next several years.

Planned milestones:

  • Obtain and develop property for Veteran Service Centers (VSCs) in Mississippi and Texas within 1 year
  • Have VSCs operational in Texas and Mississippi within 2 years
  • Obtain and begin development of property in Georgia and North Carolina within 5 years
  • Incorporate in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia within 8 years

As Heaven Sent grows, we will continue to prioritize a workforce primarily composed of military veterans, supported by specialized professionals in areas such as accounting, security, vehicle and trailer operations, disaster response, vocational education, peer mentoring, and social support.
